World’s first cap printed with air pollution

In 2013, during an experiment at the MIT Media Lab, Graviky Labs ‘hacked’ a printer cartridge to print using candle soot and the idea of AIR-INK® was born. Bello approached me to create a concept pitch to AIR-INK® focused on the environmental benefits of cycling. After writing a few catchy phrases, I created letterforms from shapes and textures of fumes and pollutant particles. Bello presented the idea to AIR-INK® who loved it and the first cap of its kind was made.
